1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
CableClix Inc. is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, regardless of ability. We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and applicable accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
2. Keyboard Navigation
2.1 Full Keyboard Support
Our platform is fully navigable using keyboard controls. Users can: • Tab through interactive elements in a logical order • Use Enter to activate buttons and links • Use Space to check/uncheck checkboxes and toggle switches • Use Arrow keys to navigate menus and sliders • Use Escape to close modals and menus Skip links at the top of each page allow quick navigation to main content.
2.2 Focus Indicators
All interactive elements display clear, visible focus indicators when accessed via keyboard, making it easy to track your position on the page.
3. Screen Reader Support
3.1 Semantic HTML
Our platform uses semantic HTML elements and ARIA landmarks to ensure screen readers can properly interpret page structure and content. All custom components include appropriate ARIA labels and roles.
3.2 Alternative Text
All images, icons, and graphical elements include descriptive alt text or ARIA labels so screen reader users understand their purpose and content.
3.3 Form Labels
All form inputs are properly labeled and associated with their labels using HTML label elements or ARIA attributes, making forms accessible to screen reader users.
3.4 Tested Compatibility
Our platform is tested with popular screen readers including NVDA (Windows), JAWS, and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) to ensure compatibility.
4. Visual Accessibility
4.1 Color Contrast
Our platform meets WCAG AA color contrast standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) to ensure readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
4.2 Text Sizing
Users can adjust text size in their browser (Ctrl/Cmd + Plus/Minus) without losing functionality or readability. Our responsive design adapts gracefully to zoomed content.
4.3 High Contrast Mode
Our platform respects and adapts to system-level high contrast settings for users who enable them in their operating system.
4.4 Avoid Color-Only Information
We never convey important information through color alone. Status indicators, error messages, and other key information use text, icons, and patterns in addition to color.
5. Cognitive Accessibility
5.1 Clear Language
We use plain language throughout the platform to make content easy to understand. Jargon and technical terms are explained, and instructions are concise and straightforward.
5.2 Consistent Navigation
Navigation elements appear in consistent locations across pages, and UI patterns are used consistently throughout the platform, reducing cognitive load.
5.3 Error Prevention & Recovery
Form validation provides clear, specific error messages before submission. Users can easily undo actions, and confirmation dialogs prevent accidental data loss.
5.4 Sufficient Time
Critical functions do not have strict time limits. Session timeouts provide adequate warning, and users can request extensions.
6. Motor Accessibility
6.1 Large Click Targets
Interactive elements (buttons, links) are sized to at least 44x44 pixels, making them easy to click for users with motor difficulties or using touch devices.
6.2 No Mouse Requirement
All functionality is available via keyboard. Features that might require fine motor control (e.g., drag-and-drop) have keyboard-accessible alternatives.
6.3 Click Prevention
Accidental activation is prevented through confirmation dialogs for critical actions.
7. Auditory Accessibility
7.1 Captions & Transcripts
Video content includes synchronized captions for dialogue and descriptions of important sounds. Audio-only content includes transcripts.
7.2 No Sound-Only Information
Critical information is never conveyed by sound alone. Visual indicators accompany audio alerts.
8. Mobile & Touch Accessibility
8.1 Responsive Design
Our platform adapts gracefully to all screen sizes and orientations, from mobile devices to large desktop monitors.
8.2 Touch-Friendly
Touch targets are appropriately sized, and gestures have accessible alternatives. Content reflows to single-column layouts on small screens for easy scrolling.
8.3 Mobile Screen Readers
Our platform works seamlessly with mobile screen readers like VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android).
9. Known Limitations & Accessibility Status
We are continuously working to improve accessibility. Currently, our platform meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across most features. Some third-party integrations (e.g., streaming player embeds, payment gateways) may have varying levels of accessibility support that we are actively monitoring and improving. Please contact us if you encounter accessibility barriers so we can address them promptly.
